On Monday, Apple officially announced that it would throw an event on 25th March. The company offered a teaser: It’s show time. The invitation does not have much to look into the message, but it has the animated GIF. A graphical invitation starts with a counter like 4… 3… 2…, like a traditional short film. As per the Apple invitation, the event will take place in Cupertino, California, at the Steve jobs Theater. But it is not the first time the tech giant has used this tagline. The company used the same slogan in the event that took place in September 2006. At the time, the company announced that it would start showing movies via iTunes and launched iTV also.
During the event starting at 10:00 a.m. (PT), the company may launch its ‘Netflix-style’ subscription news and video services. In February, The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple is planning a revamped News product. It might include a cluster of subscriptions from significant news outlets that too under one roof. So Apple may launch a new streaming TV service. The company may offer free access to its users for watching original series. It may facilitate users to sign up for other streaming services like Starz and Showtime. Rumors reveal the streaming service will hit the market in April or May. There are fair chances that users could see the expected declarations of remodeled AirPods.
On the other hand, Apple may launch some new hardware. Before some months, the company updated its iPad Pro. But there are no updates in the classic, low-cost $329 iPad since last one year. Thus, Apple may announce a new iPad and replace the standard one. While there is a probability, Apple will update its iPads or Apple TV devices later. Ben Bajarin, an analyst with Creative Strategies, said the event would probably be Apple’s first event with major media participation. Ben added hardware is not the primary focus of the company. Let’s wait for the day, and see what Apple will cater to the event.
